lol. Did you always take your ball home and play by yourself? I bet you’re a blast to work with or be around. Do you melt when you don’t get your way? Soft. By the way, you add nothing to this site.
Wrong. I enjoy and have learned from BnB posts. Do you even hunt or fish???
Or do you just pee in the wind and enjoy it???

Then you don't know Dave. He is one of the few that takes young and old sportsman Deer and Bear hunting no this sight. Not for the glory, as he never boasts about it and expects recognition.

Maybe you do the samething as Dave. I don't know your situation. But Dave has did a lot for this site.

I’ve never understood why, if the majority of the state agree that teachers are under paid, they can’t be given a onetime “catch-up” raise of 20-30% or whatever it would take to get them up to speed. No raises for admins and non-teachers, just teachers.

Just to add some broader context to these district numbers: state-level and district-level percentages don't always tell the whole story because every state sets its own bar for what 'proficient' means.

For instance, on its own state tests, North Dakota reports a statewide math proficiency of around 41%, while a state like Iowa reports a massive 75% proficiency.

However, when you put both states on the exact same scale using the NAEP (the Nation's Report Card, which acts as the equalizer since every student takes the same test), the reality flips. On that nationally normed test, North Dakota 8th graders rank #2 in the nation, while Iowa falls way behind at #15. Furthermore, analytical comparisons to international data place ND 8th graders in the top 10 globally if we competed as our own country.

It proves that a 41% in a state with rigorous standards means a lot more than a 75% where the bar is set low. It’s always worth doing a little deeper research and asking more questions before rushing to conclusions based on isolated data points.

If you don't like public or private school, home school plus some advanced extra curricular from outside sources is the way to go if you really want your kids to get what you think is a proper education.

And you believe he didn't pay in for 30 yrs and not entitled to a retirement or pension plan ?
Why are you going to be worthy of what you get when you retire?
If you had the education, you could probably be sitting in his seat.
I know a handful of retired teachers and believe they are compensated appropriately putting up with the BS they do.
Do you honestly believe he paid in enough to draw $120,000 a year pension ? Do you not feel a $120,000/yr pension is excessive? He was already making 214 % higher than the average teacher. that pension is on the backs of the taxpayers. Do any of the retired teachers you know draw $120,000 year pension?

Superintendent and principal jobs are different than teachers. They are different skill sets so you can't really compare salaries.

Next time you go to the doctor ask to see the facility maintenance guy instead so you can save some money since skill set means nothing to you.
