Don't let your trail cams gather dust in the off season. Use black flash or the cam will be stolen. I think I have four running in the yard now. They should not get them all. If not for liability I would rather leave a nice bike in the front yard wired into 110.

Is black flash the same as IR ? I have IR trail cams in the house and outside and at night the IR from other cams show up on pictures from other cams but you can't see them with the naked eye. You never know when you are on cam, I have a few interesting pictures.

I had a good cam system put in by local cab,e company, complete with my own static IP and 360 degree 20x PTZ camera. I have stationary cameras up that alert me of someone in the driveway or yard and find them with the PTZ if need be. Also all cams record motion...When not in surveilance mode I can turn that PTZ around and watch deer live in my food plots. Dual purpose....I also installed keyless deadbolts with alarms on all exterior doors.

Sometime soon I will also be adding a smart home system, self monitored with a bunch of wireless sensors and alarms. I think you can get all the goods for that for around $600. No contracts or any BS.

My 40lb vizsla may be small but she has a pretty good bark on her. Which was especially annoying when kids are playing pokemon go at 4 a.m. outside of my house. I instantly put on 30 years in age when I exited the front of my house in my underwear to yell at kids playing by my lawn. Then I gave the pup a bacon-wrapped sweet potato treat and patted her on the head.

Back when I lived in the slums of Grand Forks, the house across the street was converted into apartments/sleeping rooms. One summer, every morning a construction worker who lived there and had no license had his coworker come to pick him up about 6:30 in the morning. His jackass friend would come down the street and start honking his horn as he drove past the apartment house and mine before he used my driveway to turn around. One morning I just happened to be up and as I heard the horn honking, I busted out of the house and jumped on the hood of his car when he pulled into my driveway. Yep, I too was in my underwear. I can only imagine what was going through his 4 brain cells as a nearly naked guy was yelling obscenities through his windshield and threatening his ability to ever father a family.

My now ex wasn't overly impressed with my antics, but it was the last time that SOB pulled into my driveway though!

Good times.

I've always said if you steal shit, and get caught, they should take a couple fingers for the first offence, and the second time you get caught stealing shit take the whole hand! Hard to steal shit if you cant pick up what you intend to steal. ;:;boozer

20 years ago if you got caught stealing the police never said a word when the thief got his ass kicked. Now the thief has more rights than the person they stole from.

That SUV looks like it got the $hit beat out of it. You at least have the windows, which doesn't mean a whole lot when they blew the engine.

Sorry to hear it.

Lunker my q--- did you feel that insurance reimburse you properly? That is imo the downer as generally my experience with insurance is that they dont want to pay anything - yet one pays a fairly high premium.

I've heard stories about a guy on the mexico boarder that uses PVC pipe, a nail and a shotgun shell... is that the boobie trap you are talking about?

I never have seen a piece of my equipment show up in any pawn shop or bismanonline. Insurance covered everything but was a pain to deal with. I guess, since I only had the policy for 3 weeks, they weren't happy about the $10k I was receiving.

BTW, has anyone ever bought an item at a pawn shop? Seems like they want a pretty penny for most things.

I have several times DM... usually you have to make an offer of about 40% of what they are asking and then when they say no way and drop it to about 80% of the asking price you come up to 45% they will drop to 75% you walk away and as you hit the door they will say 50%... I've gotten several things... most of it i've always questioned weather it was stolen or not

So is the new thing for stealing gas to cut the filler tube between the nozzle insert and the tank to siphon it??? There's a portion of rubber between there that the SOB's cut to steal a few gallons of gas. Their 5 gallons of free gas cost us about 200 bucks. Tough way to find out about it when our guy is pumping gas and it's running right onto the stations lot............
