Here it is. I set a tripod up with a camera to ensure I would not be caught without a photo. Usually that means you jinxed yourself but not on this day.

I've caught quite a few big fish. My first big fish came from shore on the MN river in Feb fishing a small open section of water that wasn't froze. 30" weighing 9-4. Caught and released a 31" weighing 10.5 on tobin back in the early 90's. One year on Sak in Sept. when fishing was really poor over three weekends I caught four near identical fish pulling cranks deep. they were all 30" fish weighing right around 9 lbs. Once on the fourth of July the water was flat as could be. Fished all day and had nothing, not even a bite. Had mom and the kids out and it was hot as hell. about 5 pm I hooked what felt like a cement block. then it started to drift away so I knew it was a fish and figured it was a salmon. I was in 8' of water. Slowly inched it to the boat. I swam beside the boat for what seemed like an eternity. But it was just out of reach of the net. I had line on that I had used in Canada in the rocks for five days and new it was pretty knicked up. I finally decided I had to try and persuade it to the boat and soon as I put a little more pressure on it the line snapped at the top eyelet. fish just casually swam away. I'm guessing it was at least 32" and 12lbs plus. monster fish.

i rarely weigh bigger fish, but the longest i did... few years ago at tobin i landed a 32 1/2" eye... only weighed in at 9.7#... first week in july and just spawned out... she was shaped like a beat up 1# sauger... other than that, have only had a couple over 10#...

Back in College, I was lucky enough to land a 32 1/2" 11#7oz waldo. As I was too poor to pay for a mount, I watched her swim away. I always think I should pay for a replica.

15 lbs
32 3/4" long 21" girth on the Columbia.

Here in ND 12 lbs, buddy caught a 13 last week as a matter of fact. Have caught quite a few over 10 in the fall up at Tobin and in the spring on the Columbia. But only a handful here at home.

Two for 30 lbs, what a memorable day!

Love that mount frosty, looks like zespy's work. Lots of great looking fish on here for sure, KDM's from that little river is the coolest one for me! My 12 came from a small river as well here in western ND.
