First and only warning Royce....
That was kind of dark. I'm sorry.
I am now getting real close to pulling the trigger but am really torn between my final 2: A Chevy 5.3 (or 6.2) or a Ford 3.5 Eco. Would like some help making the final decision from those of you that have seen these trucks in action towing a 4000lb boat? Thanks.
Oh, gotchya.
Why not just buy a cheap work car for driving around every day? That way your new rig will last you for a long long time! Id go find a Buick with a 3800 n lower miles and you'd be good to go for years! My 3/4 hardly ever comes out of the garage in the winter, maybe by 2 or 3 times. And I commute 45 miles one way to work. A front wheel drive with good grippers gets around damn good in the winter.
My sister owned a couple jeeps in a row, they seemed shitty, this was 20 years ago. The full time 4 wheel drive/all wheel drive was a bad idea and that was what she had problems with.
I am looking to buy an older four door car to use for my run around vehicle, I am tired of driving a big heavy diesel on these beat up, bumpy, bounce you to the chiropractor streets we have around here. A vehicle with a new NDA sticker on it would be the cats ass
Looks like those wagoneers still fetch some hefty coin if they are in good shape:

That's what I mean, you buy a 1/2 ton and stick a bunch of money into it so you can pull stuff, why not just get a truck that comes that way from the factory? For 45k I can buy a brand new 3/4 ton crew cab diesel that has twice the torque, and warranty.
Just sayin.
