RTIC is no joke, bought the koozie for half the price of the Yeti. RTIC koozie is flat out awesome. If I were in the market for a cooler I would check out Field and Streams 2016 cooler review. Cabelas was ranked #1. Yeti was definitely not the best for ice retention.

Just checked out the RTIC website and they have an almost exact duplication of many of the Yeti items. I was surprised at how much they look alike, and how much less they are then Yeti.

RTIC's marketing is working, because it sounds like folks who ordered coolers back in March and April still haven't received them.

If your heart is set on one, better order it from a chain store or something. At this rate you won't even get it by hunting season.

I seen the "if ordered today, will ship 22July2016" message on their website. I'm guessing either they got a cease and desist letter or they're that busy.

Good luck getting one I ordered a RTIC 65 back in April. The delivery date was moved back twice finally about 3 weeks ago I cancelled it and bought a yeti 65. I couldn't be happier I did. Though I might give the RTIC soft side a try if they ever actually stock them, but I'm not playing the "delivered on xx/xx/xx" game again

Only available through RTIC. No store distribution. Part of the cheap price I suppose.

im going to call them today. Im sick of having shitty coolers

This is a big 10-4. I literally just got done throwing away 2 shitty coolers because of my Cabela's Polar Cap I just got last weekend. After seeing the performance of this one there is no doubt I am going to get another. My next one is going to be the smaller one. The 40 quart is a bit of a tank.

Gotta ask,why not save a bunch of money and use dry ice in you regular cooler?,less hassel than a 75qt cooler with melted ice sloshing around after a couple days.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but how is your ice maker working? Think you bought a Dometic? We are looking at the small one but thought i would check with you first and see if it works and is still working.
Thanks!

I believe I am on year 3 with ours, mainly used in the camper, or if we are entertaining a large group at home. I works awesome still, makes a tray of ice every 8 minutes, they are smaller cubes, but in 16 minutes you have enough for a ice cold tall glass of whiskey.

I have had to run vinegar through it a couple times to clean it up when it gets a slight old water stink to it.

Yeti 65 owner, got her down at the Mobridge Ice derby free... That thing rocks I just wish Ranger Skeeter or Lund would team up with yetti and glass in a yetti 65 on the bow for what there askin for 20'-21' glass boats don't what a 300-400$ yetti glassed into the bow is gonna bump the overall ticket price. Just my Yetti dream thought I'd share.

After hearing people i know go on about the yeti tumblers I wanted one. I happened to see a facebook video camparing the yeti versus the rtic tumbler. The rtic tumbler is half the price. So Im on amazon looking for rtic and came across walmarts ozark trails yeti knockoff. Looks the same and the 30 oz is a whopping $10. It is plenty awesome for me, a mixed drink thats drinken down to the ice in the evening and left outside on the picnic table still had ice in it the next afternoon. And i can buy 5 of them for the price of one yeti.

I have a 30 oz yeti that I love drinking capt and cokes out of. I was doing some reading online talking about how the Ozark was comparable to the yeti. Had the wife stop at wally world and buy the last 8 they had. Will make good gifts!

Filled both up with ice tonight to see how they compare. The lids are interchangeable and the build seems similar.

I see Camping World has the large Dometic ice makers on sale for 4 days June 23-26th for $125.
Called the one in Rapid City and they said i can order today and pick it up next time down there. Buddy wants one too. They are Stainless Steel models.

Finding a place that sells it, then having to handle it with gloves, making sure it doesn't damage your cheap cooler, making sure the kids dont get near it, food tasting funny.

Yeah. Sure is alot less hassle.

I can put frozen water jugs in my Yeti without a stitch of loose ice and it keeps everything cold for days, without any of that darn water sloshing around, and if I decide to go with regular ice and the water is an issue, there's a drain plug. :)

I'm to frugal to buy a Yeti, plus i never buy over marketed shit like yeti because that's what your paying for...marketing. I just bought a coleman xtreme 62 cooler $45 at Menards and took it for 7 full days camping. It was 97 degrees the first day of the trip and temps ranged from that down to about 50 some nights. I filled it to the brim with drinks, food, ice. At the end of the 7th day when i got home it was officially out of ice but everything was still cold. Also since its on wheels you can actually move it with one person easily. No its not bear proof or quite as sturdy but i can buy 10 of these for the price of a yeti. Also, nobody wants to steal a coleman! My buddy had more money into f'n locks for his yeti than what i paid for my actual cooler!
