cooler tip...

was told by a buddy today that he puts cold beer and ice in his warm yeti and lets it melt down and cool off for 1 day... he then drains off the water and fills the cooler with very cold frozen ice, not the warmer wet stuff like right out of the ice machine... he said the new ice will freeze the ice that's left in the cooler, and cool the beer to ~ a slushy 28 degrees...

i will try this...

Well after 2 1/2 days of a 30 pack and the rest ice I opened the Yeti up today, and to my surprise the ice had not busted the lid off of the cooler, but it was only down about one inch from the top.
Ice cold beer for everyone up at the bay... awesome

At this rate I might need to purchase more ice next spring

A 30 pack for everyone up at the bay wouldn't last 15 minutes. Therefore no one would be opening that cooler after 15 minutes and the ice should last until spring.

Read the fine print before buying a yeti. A friend of my neighbors friend didn't. They ended up with a huge towing and repair bill only to find out they placed the Yeti too close to the fuel tank and it gelled up the # 2 diesel. They tried to go after yeti but they were frozen in their tracks when yeti pointed out the "Not responsible for accidents" label

You want really cold beer? Throw some water softener salt on top of the ice in your cooler!

Is there a circumstance where the ice lasts but the water didn't stay cold?

On sunday at noon i grabbed some waters and the ice was gone but still nice and cold. After a 5 hour drive the water was still cold and my beer was ready to still be drank when i got home. And yes i had a 6 pack of stella in there.

Not a Yeti but saw this at Sportmsan's Warehouse in Williston. I couldn't even pick it up empty. But think of what you could do with 500 cans of beer and 19 days.

So Johnr have you enjoyed all the attention from the ladies, respect from your peers, and trying to prevent frostbite from rendering your hands to unusable stumps?

Just put my tundra 75 to the test this last weekend for the first time. Got the tie down kit and mounted it to the back deck of the pontoon.

I did not precool it at all, put 20 lb bag of ice in it with a cold 12 pack of bottles and a few containers of food and a couple bottles of cooled spirits, all in all was about 1/2 full at best, sat in full sun lite in 90*+ weather 2 days straight and was being opened about every 15-20 minutes for 2 days and when I got home sunday night I still had about 2/3 of the ice left and I did use some for my mixed drinks in my tumbler as well for 2 days which was about a quarts worth of ice.

Overall extremely impressed, my old coleman would have gone through 40 lbs in 2 days with none left in the same conditions.

I was savagely ravaged by mrs johnr this morning, I am guessing the Yeti was the cause. She seems to find me more virile these last few weeks.
I also had a close call with a fellow campers wife this last weekend, she was quite smitten.

My buddies now call me mr johnr, so yes the respect level has lifted.

My hands are that of a prince who has never done anything for himself, and yet masculine like that of a lumber jack.

So to answer the aforementioned questions, yes my musk is that of a Fabio
