Now that Cabelas has discontinued making my favorite Guidewear fishing shirts I’m looking for a new brand to try out. Anyone try the bass pro version? Any perform better in hot humid weather?

I was/am a BIG fan of the Cabelas Guidelite fishing shirts. The Scheels branded shirts without the bug-stuff in them are cool, stretchy, and comfortable as well as comparably priced. Huk and Simms also make nice comparable comfy/stretchy/cool shirts but are more $$.

Of course Gander Mountain is the premium brand - but I can't afford such fine haberdashery.

Support local and buy a dh customs long sleeve hooded shirt.

Get a button-up long-sleeved shirt w/a little stretch and no friggin hood or button-in face-mask.

While your at it buy some jorts and a nice pair of New Balances to complete the 1990's walleye angler look. Sun hoodies are awesome. Lighter than your old man button ups, no need for the ridiculous back flaps, and they have better sun protection. What's not to like?

Free fly bamboo shade hoody shirts are the the most comfortable ones I've worn. Light and cool in the worst heat and a big hood that will shade a guys face up.

Simms solarflex hoodie is a close second.

lol

I knew this was headed down the design debate crapper when Dirty Mike rubbed his wiener on the thread.

I bought a hoodie the day I saw them and was pissed it took them so long (Simms).

DM’s provider’s hoods proved too large/baggy... even for my xxl noggin.
