Buddy of mine had an Oscar that looked like that in an aquarium back in Japan. Voracious SOB, you'd almost swear the smaller baitfish we threw in to feed him were shaking once they saw who was in the aquarium with them.

MSA what is the oldest fish you have mounted? The reason I asked because I have a walleye that has been in the freezer for 6 years.

I have an excellent specimen in mind that I would like a replica on but I haven't been able to deliver to MSA my side of the deal.

ahh...must be a ling or a bowfin. I caught a big ling this year, and I couldn't help myself, I ate the damn thing....it was worth it!

The bowfin. I have an agent in MN helping me. This woman is a bowfin catching machine. She just can't seem to break the 5 lb mark but she'll do it or I will this summer.

Holy hell I wish I could get one of your originals! Better start numbering and signing if not already!

Oscars are cool. I had one that was almost 2 pounds with a pacu that was over 3. They used to chase each other around. Hard enough in fact that when we were gone they hit the heater hard enough to break it. Popped the breaker and shit the circulation off. They were breathing when I got back but weren't gunna make it. Green sunfish have always been my favorite tank fish though.

Whats the the rules on fish illegal in ND but not elsewhere? I think about a 5# shovelnose would look cool on the wall just not sure if it's ok to cross the line with one.

By the way, I think I'm going to try one of your sauger spots next week. I want to try to catch one on the fly rod.

Pretty sure I can get a replica mold of a shovelnose sturgeon. I don't think they skin mount very well anyway.

The part is that fish I tried to get her to swim for 15 minutes inside the snobear but she just wouldn't. I said I would only bring another one home if it beat my 13.6 lber which it didn't but after she would not swim away it was either mount it or eat it. So I decided she will look good with her sister together.
