In Rapid city right now, spent today at the cosmos, Rushmore, and finished up at wind cave national park. Bear country and reptile gardens tomorrow, then fast pitch softball tournament for the weekend.

Just starting the campfire now, and cracked an ice cold Busch light

Good college friends have a family cabin on McKenzie Bay. We spent a week out there one summer. What a hoot. I don't remember most of it, but I do recall the garbage was full of empty Busch Latte cases. Maybe that's why?

On a somewhat related note, I've never been offered so much to drink at every place I went. Neighbor's cabin: Have a beer. Other neighbor's cabin: Have a shot. Random bar in some other bay: Round for everyone! Pretty sure my liver has never fully recovered. You westerners know how to party.

Make sure you head up 385 and get a burger at Sugar Shack. I think it is called the Sugar burger. If you get fries with it you had better be darn hungry. Probably the best ones in the Hills! It is a small place on the left side of 385 when headed North. Don't blink or you will miss it. North of Pactola lake maybe 10 miles might not be that far.

Was lucky to get one last spot for Friday evening.... it was an electric spot and all I got is a tent haha so if u see some idiot taking a camping spot up with his tent... that will be me bringing a small TV and gonna watch Monty Python and the holy grail hahahha haven't seen that movie in years... wife thinks it's the stupidest movie .... but that's the point it's so stupid it's funny ! Only time I'll get to watch it is when shes not around

bringing the family to my parents house, camping out in tents if the wheather looks to be okay. prolly a trip or 2 to DL with the brothers and ole man, prolly a couple trips to the local stocked lake/recreation area for the kiddos. a few adult beverages, yard games, etc.

I am in the Cherokee 5th wheel, sort of close to the shower house, a white ProV will be parked next to my camper also. When you see some doofus walking around drinking ice cold Busch lights, that would be me, or one of my buddies anyway...haha

Ahh the memories of Leech Lake! Way back when, a million years ago, when I was a snot nosed little tyke, my folks owned a cabin out by Stony Point. Caught many of walleye drifting and trolling between Stony Point and Little Stony Point. When the wind was in our favor we headed over to Pine Point as well. My dad had the ultimate fish locater of its time...the famed green box! Our go to lure was a plain lindy rig...well..back then they were all plain..hahaha..except we would make our own also...and a nite crawler blown up with a hypodermic needle. Ahhh..yes...those were the days. Good memories.

We are headed to our lake prop. north of Bemidji to do some bluegill and crappie fishing and relax with friends and family and might open a cold one or 3! Happy 4th to all!

Figured id head further east maybe have better luck. I have a buddy coming from minot sat. morning at like 4am and hes pretty pumped up... hate to see him wake up at 2am for nothing...
