Don't know if I was dreaming or not, but on the WDAY news this morning, they said that a guy on a sled went through the ice at 6 mile bridge and didn't make it out. Hopefully I was just dreaming this and its not true. Anyone else hear about this?
The question is did he not see it coming or was he trying to skip it through. Most long track sleds are fully capable of driving indefinitely on water so long as you don't slow down. Now to try it with a load of fishing gear isn't very bright if that's what he did or to try it with a short track trail sled. Watched guys doing it off the fox island ramp a few years ago shaking my head. Spot like fox you go in your screwed with the current that's going to try and take you under the ice.I had heard they drove right into open water under the bridge as well. I dont understand how this is possible. I could see if there was ice under the bridge and they didnt know any better but to drive into open water??? Tragic.
