At wedding receptions I can see the fire in the eyes of the mother-in-laws when I tell the newlyweds I'm going to give them better advise than anyone. You can about hear a pin drop. Then I tell them don't take anyone's advice. They know why they like each other. It doesn't take a book, or a busy body to tell them anything. Screw the world and simply treat each other as you would like to be treated. Some say marriage is hard, but if that's true my wife must be doing all the work. Ok shut up smart ass.All you that have many years together, what would you say your secret is?
Congrats! My wife and I just celebrated 16 years last month. Hardest part for me is raising the 4 renegade kids we brought into the world, but it's been worth every minute!
All you that have many years together, what would you say your secret is? My uncle told me when I got married that marriage was like a hot bath...and just left it at that. I guess it means that we have to figure out how to keep the water hot so we are enjoying the bath (marriage). Not sure...anyway...what wisdom do ya'll have?
