So the primary residence one has income qualifications?
Do you realize these are two different tax credits. please answer with a simple yes or no

Not sure it can be any clearer than this
PRIMARY RESIDENCE CREDIT Eligibility:

Own a home (house, mobile home, town home, duplex or condo) in North Dakota and reside in it as a primary residence.
  • No Age Restriction
  • No Income Limit

I fully understand that. What I’m trying to tell you is the original bill had requirements for both credits. The primary resident credit has requirements in it very late in the legislative process. One of which was an income threshold which I believe was $60,000 total household income. You had to be below that to get it. That provision appears to have been taken out or the whole story isn’t being told. We will know come tax time

Remember when the people of North Dakota went full retard and voted against eliminating property taxes? Shame on you idiots.
Wonder who counted those ballots? Probably the same electronic machines that counted our last Presidential election ballots. How did that count turn out?

there is age limit with the homestead property tax credit but not with the primary residence tax credit, again they are two different programs
These socialist programs are all just smoke and mirrors. Meaningless BS for the welfare people. We need to eliminate ALL property taxes for ALL property owners......The State has a 2.5 Billion dollar surplus but will not give it back or share it with the people!

My taxes went up $372 from last year
Which is precisely why I'll make sure to apply for the Primary Residence. Not nearly what they could or should do, but I won't let it slide without grabbing it from them. Shady shit to sneak into an insert in my property tax letter.

I'll admit, only skimmed things. Is this a tax-preparer credit? One more thing to charge you for when you dump off your W-2s..."Yeah, we had to fill out another form so we charged you even more."

It looks like the ND tax website will post a link for the application form after the 1st of the year.

The Office of State Tax Commissioner will start accepting Primary Residence Credit applications on January 1, 2024. Applications are due by March 31, 2024. The link to submit the application will be displayed on January 1, 2024.

Still kind of bugs me that you have to apply for it. You know Big Brother is watching you every second. Your phone can tell you where you live and where you work. Just send me a check.

Why didn't the $500 credit show up on our property tax bill? Now the state has to send out checks to all that apply when they could have just sent out a check to each county, is it so non-residents don't get the credit and how do they determine if they don't live here full time.

They are using it like a Menards rebate and bank on the fact that a large portion will not use it.
