FARGO -- A water rescue is underway at River Oaks Park.

According to dispatch, two people were trapped on a fishing boat on the Red River near 32nd Avenue South and University Drive just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25.
The boat appeared to be close to capsizing by onlookers.
Rescue crews are on scene and attempting to reach the boat.
Check back to Inforum.com for more on this developing story.

UPDATE: Looks like they're safe on shore. Photos are kinda neat: http://www.inforum.com/news/4302567-photos-father-and-son-safe-after-dramatic-river-rescue

I'd say that its possible they had motor issues and got taken over but lets be real, its a Yamaha and that's pretty unlikely.

I was being 100 percent sarcastic. Clearly, that boat hit the rocks. Prop and skeg are all messed up. Probably got too close, hit the rocks, and poof.

I give myself a very healthy berth whenever fishing close to dams. No fish is worth that.

Is it normal to take a large deep v boat on the Red in late July? Seems ill advised.
