Disagree. National delegation has....

For example. Schmidt Bottoms on Lake Oahe, and "excess" lands around Lake Sakakawea. The rumblings about the badlands are the first i've heard. But thats how they all start, by greasing the skids and throwing ideas out to gauge backlash. Slowly they are working towards those goals. NDFB lists it in their guiding principles and they are pulling alot of strings at the capital. They also take their notes from other anti public land groups of the west to guide them. In Utah, Senator Mike Lee has introduced legislation number of times to sell off public land. He is the poster boy for this movement and leading the charge. If he sets a precedent, others will follow.

That Scott Hennen thing really irks the hell out of me.

What’s the most effective way to push back on crap like that?

They have been pushing selling off our public lands since forever. Back in the 1970's and 80's it was the Sagebrush Rebellion and James Watt was his secretary of Interior. James Watt was the attorney for the Sagebrush Rebellion. Like Handgun Control Incorporated changing their name to Citizens for Gun Safety or some such the Sagebrush Rebellion is gone. It wasn't a direct name change, but the same people now belong to The American Land Council. I guess it doesn't sound as aggressive, but their goal is the sale of public land. Then they get angry when you call them greedy. The only reason I call them greedy is there is no word that is worse and would describe them as accurately. I'm disappointed that Ted Cruze is all for it. The democrats bow and scrape to the gays and socialists while the republicans bow and scrape to organizations like The American Land Council.
Oh and off topic slightly is the republicans when they had the chance didn't solve the illegal alien problem. Both parties are complicit in their inaction. The democrats want the votes from illegals, and the republicans are pressured for cheap labor. Driving through the agricultural section of California one feels like they are in Mexico.

You can bet your behind there are a couple, or maybe only one now who are here to ride herd on sportsmen. I am so happy that so many of you are starting to see this land grab.

Is there legislation concerning the sale of the badlands or other private lands? If so, what is it?

Not that I'm currently aware of.

From this session of the ND Legislature HB 1428 was to form a Missouri River Council that, among other things, would work to purchase the ACOE lands around Lake Sakakawea...for $1. Schmidt, from Huff, was a sponsor on that bill as he has been on many similar bills in the past. This session's was a little sneakier but he's made it clear he wants the ACOE land from Sakakwea to Oahe to be sold off. Thankfully this bill died in the House but there's not doubt it will be back again next session.

At the Federal level there are many who have stated they believe the Federal Government should liquidate its land holdings. One such individual is Keven Cramer of ND. Being Cramer is on Scott Hennen's show each week it's hard for me to believe that Scott won't communicate with him the results of today's poll.

today’s poll???

Hennen had a poll during his radio show today. The question was whether we should sell the National Grasslands to pay down the Federal debt. According to Scott, 70% of the people who responded to the poll (call in and text) were in support of selling the land.

I realize the poll isn't scientific and is reaching a biased audience.
