My longest walleye was just short of 31". Believe it or not it only weighed 4.2 pounds. Something was clearly wrong with this fish. Color was fine, fish was feisty but the belly of the thing was inverted. Had a normal sized head and tail but the body itself was strange. Measured it quick, weighed it and released without a picture. The biggest weight wise I caught went 29 3/4" and just short of 16" for girth. Didn't weight it so don't know exact weight but took pictures/video and released. I wasn't 100% sure if she would break 10 pounds but while I was taking the jigging spoon out of her mouth she had the tail of a fish hanging out her throat. The tail of the fish hanging out of her throat was around 3 inches wide and pretty fresh so I think that pushed her over 10 pounds. Between 3 of us we caught 9 fish that went over 26" up to 29 3/4" all the same day in the same spot. Won't soon forget that trip (Canada) we have video of all of them.
