We have access to online scanner repeaters for almost the whole US at radioreference.com . Scanners don't seem to be used much anymore, I think most high profile communications are done VIA cell phones. I just checked it out and only 2 listeners.

Well that was a worthless news conference. Pretty sure in the beginning the Chief wouldn't have given so much as the time of day if it was asked for. My biggest annoyance/takeaway was that: the public isn't in any danger but the murderer is on the run with an unknown motive.

How do they get away with providing so few details whenever there's a murder or serious incident in this state?! Wow.
