Plot thickens

I always hear CC on this site -- its amazing though that none of the deceased were able to call 911 on a cell. Must of all been in one room.

From the tribune’s article. The deputy that pulled him over knew him and was a patient.

Onsite video revealed that a suspect, now identified as Chad Isaak, a chiropractor from Washburn, was in and out of RJR Maintenance & Management early Monday morning in Mandan in less than 15 minutes, according to a report by Tyler J. Henry, an investigating officer with the Mandan Police Department.

According to Henry's affidavit, law enforcement officers were able to follow a video trail of evidence that early on identified a white Ford F-150 as key to the suspect's whereabouts.

The first bit of video belonged to RJR Maintenance & Management and showed the suspect entering the business at 6:47 a.m. Monday and exiting at 7 a.m. Further investigation outside the building revealed that an RJR vehicle was driven from the premises to Indigo Signs, a block away.

Another video showed the suspect walking from the area of Indigo Signs westbound toward Midway Lanes and Bill Barth Ford, where more video helped place the suspect's trail after leaving RJR.

After a tip from a McDonald's employee, whose description of someone getting into a white Ford F-150 fit the suspect, investigators viewed surveillance video showing the Ford truck leaving the McDonald's parking lot and proceeding eastbound on Memorial Highway.

Video at the Ron Lowman car dealership, about two blocks from McDonald's, showed the truck pulling into the lot, turning around and then proceeding westbound on Memorial Highway.

More video gathered from Main Street on Monday morning, shows the truck continuing westbound through Mandan.

The vehicle was next spotted on video at the Flying J in Mandan, where Business Loop Interstate 94 merges into Highway 25 North.

In Oliver County, video from two businesses showed the Ford F-150 traveling near Center at about 8:30 a.m. Monday.

At about 9 a.m., video from River Ag, a business in Washburn, shows the vehicle traveling on U.S. Highway 200.

Finally, Deputy Justin Krohmer of the McLean County Sheriff's Office recognized the suspect vehicle on Thursday. Krohmer says he has known Isaak for almost two years and was a patient at the chiropractor's clinic.

Deputy krohmers mom had an appointment at 5:15 on Thursday, that’s how they knew he was going to leave his house. They nabbed him after he drove away from the residential area on his way back to the office. Crazy stuff!

Wow.

Edit: I just had a thought, I wonder if a guy could submit a FOIA request to release the police dashcam video. Ordinarily the local media would do that sort of thing but I’m not sure they will. It being an active investigation, it’d probably be quite some time before you could get it.

The video trail they put together is pretty amazing really. Gotta hand it to law enforcement on this one.

I did a ride along with my son night before last, with my son whom is a cop. First time ever. This was in Williston. Basically a very quiet night but I was only with till 11 PM. But early on, around 8 ish, a call came in that someone called in and claimed they were being shot at. This was happening up at the municipal golf course. Guy claimed they shot out his tire on his truck and were continuing to shoot at him. Begged for immediate help. On and on. Two units roll on out there and find two people shooting trap on the range next to the golf course. They talked to these individuals. These guys had no clue what the cop was talking about but said there was a dude in a brown chevy sitting along the trail going in and it appeared he was doing drugs. The cops split up and one drove to the golf course parking lot where he sees an individual walking across the course headed for the airport. He starts walking after him. He catches up to him as the dude quickly climbs the 8' fence into the airport property. Cop described his clothing on the radio and told what was happening. He wasn't obeying commands and the cop said he wasn't going to pursue. So now he is in trouble with the feds so two cops head to the airport and get with security. The guy starts walking straight north. We head north around the outside of the airport property. While everyone is in transit the cop on the ground kept giving info on his location until he finally said he just jumped the north fence. Well along the north fence are several oil field service business's with a lot of stuff parked along the fence and fenced in yards so we can't really get in there to look for him. We spend half an hour cruising around looking for him. About then someone called in from the apartments six blocks east and said someone just came running through the complex pulling off a camo hoodie (what cop indicated dude was wearing) and was now wearing a white T shirt. So everyone scrambles over there to look for him. Long story short we never find the guy. But an hour later my kid is reading through all the computer data that was called in on the guy. Far more detailed on there than over the radio for the most part. Then he say, man that sounds just like so and so to be doing something like this. He's the most paranoid tweaker he deals with on a regular basis. It just fits his MO to a T. He calls the guy that was on the ground to see how close he got to him. This was a new hire and hadn't been on the force long. He said he got to about 20' from him. So my kid had him pull up the guy he figured it probably was and had him look at his mug shots. There were many lol. He says man, I can't be 100% sure but 95% sure it's him. Well looking through the mug shots he is wearing a camo hoodie in at least two of them. New cop says yep that's the hoodie lol. So they already know who it is. And that he is at least off the airport property. They just deal with these meat heads so often they pretty much know by their behavior about who it is or could be at least. My kid has had this guy at gun point on four occasions already. And this guy is out walking around and not in jail. It frustrates the hell out of these cops that they can arrest these guys multiple times and they continue to get kicked free.

Wowsers can there be any more evidence? Suppose once DNA tests come back it'll really stack up. Impressive work.

Anyone notice that because this is the great state of ND no one is protesting and blaming gun control?
