I did the atkins diet -- yes you lose weight --- is it good for your body? -- imo no. As soon as you add back a carb -- you increase your LDL significantly and imo inclreases your plaque in your arteries. The key is eating less no matter what you do. I also did the no fat diet - and that consisted of carbs - that worked too. But as soon as you go back to having fat - it doesnt work just like the atkins. Nothing worked better then lowering intake. Your digestive system likes a balanced system better. Being hungry is just a feeling; most likely is your body looking for sugars -- it goes away; dont fill it with fat if you dont have too.
Beer - drink one day a week -- binge if you have too. You will pay for it two days but then when those two days are up you will no longer feel hungry.
