Haha thats what I was thinking. I'll bring enough gear for a few guys but chances are if I catch a fish it's because I saw someone elses flag go up before they did. :;:cheers

I would like to attend, Devils is a nice almost half day voyage in good summer conditions, Audubon is 2 hours, and pick city home of the dam bar is about an hour and a half.
I would try to make Devils, but seems I for sure would make something westerner. A place to lay my drunken head is also likely needed, as I don't have them fancy east river ice campers, and am way to old to stay up for 48 hours.

also would any of you guys be able to bait my hooks, and take fish off for me, mrs johnr is not going to be there for this type of ice drinking

Hey...you're just made cause you can't catch....nm I actually can't disagree with you. I hate fishing it. But I like the proximity to places with soft beds and stiff drinks.

It seems like we have two choices. A venue with convenient lodging and rooms available and close (but el crappo fishing) - or the opposite which is good fishing but crappy lodging availability and maybe most rooms booked by sconis.

I guess Jamestown might be a good venue eh?? Pretty decent fishing - even some mid day crappie or perch? Some new hotels in the area? Sadly nothing right on the lake - OR is there?

Is there a resort on one of the central ND lakes we could get in on? (like Woodland in Devils lake... right on the water)? That'd be fun - everybody pile into same resort.

Well; we have Patterson lake right here in Dickinson, plenty of hotel rooms, since the oil slow down, they are even affordable right now.
Interstate the entire way, lots of bars, plenty of rooms. Patterson has been known to produce plenty quality fishes, and we are the banana belt, you might even need some sunscreen and lip balm...haha

I can provide a couple of ice cold Busch lights as a prize too.

I heard the late season for Albino buffalo in Jamestown is phenominal
