In the aftermath of Monday’s tragedy, we understand that the community is on edge and looking for answers. The Mandan Police Department would like to dispel any false information that is being distributed in the community and on social media. We know there are a lot of rumors being spread and misinformation being passed around. The official source for information on the RJR homicide case is, and has always been, the Mandan Police Department. In the interest of the families and co-workers of the victims, we respectfully ask that you only share factual information obtained from our releases. Follow our Facebook page and website for the latest information and updates regarding this case.
Our highest priority is the safety of our community and bringing the person responsible for this to justice. The integrity of our investigation is paramount. Although it seems like not much information is being released to the public, we have to ensure that we maintain the highest possible level of security with details surrounding this case. Our entire department, along with assistance from outside agencies, have been working tirelessly since the call came in on Monday morning to bring this case to a conclusion.
Lastly, we would like to extend a tremendous amount of gratitude to the Mandan community for stepping up and taking care of the families and coworkers of the victims. It’s truly humbling to see the community come together in a time of extreme sadness.

You guys come up with some interesting theories ---- i look at that Wisconsin case --- with the girl ---- the conclusions did and still run rampant ---- cops never had a clue imo. If she would of been killed they would of never got that guy who did it. The cops have to chase everything -- $$$ is limited --- it could be anybody. Being a prosecuter or a cop now days --- its got to be tough --- even the ones you find they want to let off.

No harm meant Dean, I look at it more as BSn among a small group of fishermen and throwing around theories. I haven't looked at Face Book but I can about imagine what that's like. After all it was you that helped solve the Svnmag mystery. Like someone else mentioned , There has to be DNA , Probably even too much of it from several sources for a conviction. My question is how broad is the database for DNA ? I realize It can be used to confirm a suspect was on scene but can DNA lead them to a suspect ? I don't watch CSI and those other shows but I was glued to the Steven Avery trial so that's all I know about it. At first I thought someone might be after just one of the 4 and the other 3 happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed it. That might or might not add up later when details get released.

They just announced on the news that someone in an RJR property in Washburn was arrested this afternoon. RJR has a press conference tomorrow.
