This bullshit is why I'll be voting yes...this is a screenshot of the tax history on my house, which is currently around 5,300 a year. No add ons, no additions, no gold staircases added, just an average 300K minot home.

I have you beat!!

I own a vacant residential lot with no water, sewer, or electricity that is accessed of off a gravel road.
This is a 3,116.67% increase in valuation according to my math.šŸ¤¬

thats the thing, it only went from 275K to 309K from 2018 to now....I need to start researching ways to tank my home's value. It might be worth it to pay homeless people 50 bucks a day to sleep on the sidewalks in my neighborhood. I'm dying in this house so I dont care how "valuable" it is

that list is a tad disturbing. i would consider myself friends with at least one of the recipients and i can't quite understand how that amount of $ can get awarded to a private already millionaire for what will amount to a private money making venture. am i missing something about that money and those awards? if so, my apologies in advance.

Talking with my shop fella today, and he is positive that Walmart pays $2.8 million in taxes here, and some of the oil field companies pay 10 times that. He said if they don't pay that amount, who is going to pick up that giant bill?
I stated that ND has a huge pile of tax money they are sitting on, and they can dig into that.
He is straight up the boogie man is coming if we get ride of property tax, and let me know I am a moron for not voting yes..

Seems the anti measure 4 guys are really hitting home with people.

Funny how all the politicians come out of the woodwork and find the time and energy to try to get this measure defeated but haven't done a damn thing to rework the property tax system since measure 2 was defeated years ago. Should tell you all you need to know about any future reforms if this measure gets killed. It'll be the same old butt raping for years to come. VOTE YES ON MEASURE 4!

Had our 3 stooges stop by a week ago. Asked all 3 just 2 questions. What have they done to fix the problem of property tax issues and secondly where do they stand on property rights as it relates to summit carbon threatening eminent domain?? All they could offer was just the standard political garbage. None of them (district 30) deserve re-election (IMO), but all 3 will retain their elected positions. Shame on US!

Right here is the problem, people keep voting the same people in over name recognition alone. Glad you asked the questions, more people need to do this!

I own a home as well and of course would love to put a little extra money in my pocket but I still voted no. I don't believe that everyone who owns property should get a tax break when some are getting federal hand outs. I believe that the real change needs to be done on a local level, building pet projects should be scrutinized with a fine tip comb as well as keeping residential and commercial/school property in separate tax zone locations that only drive the property taxes up when they do. Zoning laws are there for a reason and our local governments need to enforce those laws

Guess people like getting it in the ass repeatedly.........nothing's going to change.

This would not have ended property taxes but it would have at least gotten rid of the stupid valuation tax. But the sheeple got scared by the "keep it local" boondoggle brigade once again.
