If I'm not mistaken , every report I've ever read from any research group says further research is needed. Inconclusiveness is thier cash cow.

- - - Updated - - -

Big pharma argues that a few thousand years of this weed use for medicine isn't solid proof. On the other hand they want to shove their jabs and pills down our throat with only a few months of clinic trials.
i am not arguing with you Davey I wholeheardly agree and you know I am a big supporter of legalizing gonja, my argument has to do with the strains today that we see such a increase of thc which is now in the 30 percent range, they are not your typical plants like the 70s or even early 90. Wasn't until hydro was introduced to growing mj did we see a major increase in thc levels, heck even ATF was still only 16 to 24 percent THC. Just like what man has done to every drug on this plant is to enhance it just because we can. No one has the research as to what these high thc strains have on human mind and body over long periods of time. And my argument is that just like alcohol, mj needs to be regulated by the percentage of THC to OTC users, maybe that's not the case with high thc but to tell me their is no long term effects on high thc users , I would ask you to show me the evidence that is the case and the argument will be settled because your wifes brother cousin has been token it for decades doesn't mean diddly to the people who care about these kinds of information that could have long term effects.

Good because I had no intentions of arguing, I was just saying they are milking this cow for all it's worth. Even if they did find a definate answer to what ever it is you are wondering about, the conclusion to their report would still be, "more research is needed" . It's how MJ researchers roll, It creates more funding and job security.

Isn't that what true definition of scientific discovery is to keep looking for answers, to never be satisfied with one person's argument. If the end result is what the general consensus agrees with isn't that what most people accept as the logical answer. I sure we would like to know what is and what isn't when it comes to a drug with thousands of different chemicals in it and what they do. Let's not go down the same blind alley as what cigarettes did for decades, deny deny and deny some more.
Aslo with research maybe science can come up with a test to prove with 100 percent certainty that I am or I am not under the influence of the sweet leaf. I'm all for legalizing the sweet leaf and while we are at let's just decrimilized on non violent drug users for that matter just think of all the money we tax payers would save in the long run.

As usual svn you gives us lots of information and I am intrigued to know more of these bits of information, can you please give me some links so I can read more of what you are saying. I know you don't care for the sweet leaf but I'm still interested in what you post just the same

I'm sorry. No. I don't have the energy. Besides Clay/Buck on radio watch Carlson/Hannity(?) and Ingraham. Laura is currently the best on TV. Faux "News" is still shit on radio.

wjsmaltz your Alaskan experience is compelling. Things may have changed since the 1960s college years when only the hippies and loosers were using mj. Watched it creat a lot of flunk outs. Couldn't get out of bed until 10:00am.

And it's legality will stop them from messing with it??

Not a chance. It's more available on the black market than it will ever be in stores nowadays. And cheaper. I will vote for freedom of choice, while i grumble inside.

My research on pot heads while i was in nam was:

For the most part they were a waste when needed but they did enjoy how the colors lid up the ski when we were conversing with the gooks. Cobras, with their mini guns made for a nice light display as did puff along with our 175 mm artillery piece shooting only a powder charge as they came in. The B-52s made the ground shake.

But i only drank beer from a rusty steel can not knowing the brand so who am i to judge.
They were the best of times when i was young. All done without the weed and still, while on that hilltop, the higherups tool my worthless m-15 or 16, whatever it was, from me but i was able to get ahold of a grease gun.
It was just a lack of communications with me and a one star general.
Nothing like having 5 buttheads with brass or silver on their hat whippings on one as if i was a dog in a corner.

Fun fact(s): Cocaine is a good coagulant for nose bleeds. The below is actually anti-drug and Eric says he has no memory of this show (sad). Albert Lee did the second solo:

One step closer to the end.

When I was in college the vast majority of incoming freshmen fresh from the close watchful eyes of their parents began experimenting with various vices. Some went down the slippery path of being hard core stoners. Those didn't even make it to the end of the first semester. What value does that type of person bring to our society if it continues?

In high school I had a very close friend. We both did well academically. Our senior year of HS was pretty much a big party as at that time the drinking age was 18. Not proud of it but there were kids that could legally have a beer at lunch time and then go to class. A lot of us weren't mature enough to handle it. My friend didn't make the turn away from drugs. He currently is a homeless person in the Phoenix AZ area. What a waste. It is sad.

I am concerned with what more and more legalization will potentially do to our youth.

The wheels of legalization are large and building up momentum.

I know my opinion doesn't matter at all in the big scheme of things.

Just be careful of what you wish for.

I find it most interesting how people think where and when big brother is supposed to interfere with peoples’ lives. How did the world ever survive prior to all these laws that exist today.

I was thinking the same thing. Its a good thing we have laws that tell us what we can and cant put into our bodies or some people might make bad decisions and end up homeless addicts! Oh wait, that doesnt work...

This sounds good….waiting with bated breath ;:;rofl

You eat bats and don't brush your teeth? PHOOEY!!

At this point, my biggest worry about MJ isn't MJ itself, but, what other compounds might be laced therein. My oldest daughter is getting close to (maybe already in) the age group where she's going to have to make the decisions to partake or not on her own.

It takes very little fentanyl for an opioid naive person to just stop breathing.
